What is the Heritage Tree Program?

The Heritage Tree Program is a collaborative program between the OUFC and Forests Ontario (FO). The program was founded to recognize trees in Ontario that have cultural or historical value or are rare or unique as a species. Many heritage trees are tied to a significant person, place, or event in history.

Do you have a tree that you think may be of heritage value? Please reach out to nominate your tree(s) today. Approved heritage trees receive a certificate and plaque in recognition of their significance.
