Rike Burkhardt is a Registered Professional Forester with a Master’s degree in Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto. She has over 25 years of forestry work experience, ranging from the northern Boreal forests of Ontario to the urban forests of the Greater Toronto Area. Rike has worked for several years both as a planner and consultant in different urban forest capacities, including leading and participating in tree canopy studies and strategic urban forest management plans for several GTA municipalities. More recently, she has participated in research and consulting projects looking at the role of forest management in climate change adaptation and mitigation. Rike’s passion is working in multistakeholder environments to solve complex public policy issues.
